Liverpool Commercial Delegation Visited Yiwu

On October 17, commercial delegation of Liverpool,the United Kingdom, led by Liverpool city councilor Nick •Small, altogether 13 members visited Yiwu. Deputy director of Municipal People’s Congress Luo Gen received the delegation.

Liverpool is known as gateway to the UK and the fourth largest city in the United Kingdom as well as an important port in northwest England. Exports of Liverpool mainly consist of chemicals, iron and steel products and imports mainly cover petroleum, grain, ore, sugar, timber, pulp, etc. The foreign trade accounts for 26% of the total amount of UK.

Nick said Yiwu is the global distribution center of small commodities and it has significant impact on Europe. The next step Liverpool City will be devoted to improving the investment and employment environment to welcome Yiwu entrepreneurs to invest and develop there.
